Cook Off Cooking contest rule

1. There is a $25 entry fee per pot for a main dish or $10 for side dish. There can be a maximum of four people on each team.
2. All catfish courtbouillion entries must include 5 lbs of fish. Gumbo entries must include 4 lbs of meat and a minimum of 4 gallons of Gumbo.
3. "First Place" in each category will be awarded, and an overall "Grand Champion" will be awarded to one of the 
4. Cooks must furnish all ingredients, seasoning, and cookware. All COOKING must be done onsite. Rice, Bowls, utensils and napkins will be provided by the Festival for serving the samples to the public.
5. Cooks must come, set up, and register between 7am to 9am the morning of the cook off.
6. Cooks can park their vehicles around cooking area on the festival grounds to unload cookware, ingredients, etc.
7. ONLY cooks and team members are allowed in the cooking area.
8. Trash barrels are provided to dispose of all trash. It is your responsibility to leave your cooking area clean and free of trash.
9. Absolutely NO cooking oil is to be poured on the ground or in drains.
10. Teams are required to hand out samples of their food ONLY to paid customers from the event. At least half of the final product must be donated to the festival committee for sale to the general public.
12. Samples for judging will be collected at 11:30 am, time will announced.
13. To participate in different categories requires additional $25 dollar per pot or $10 for side dishfor each additional category.
15. Prizes will be awarded for each category. Categories will consist of Fish Courtbouillion, Gumbo and Side Dish contests. One winner will be picked from each category and awarded a prize. Winners will be announced at 4:30pm.
16. No golf carts or other motorized vehicles allowed.
